Upcoming Teacher Training

This teacher training is designed for those who seek soul enlightenment and deep wisdom.

It is traditional yoga in its orignal form from India and this training is suitable for any person of any age, including those who are already teachers and wish to go deeper into the roots of yoga, aswell as for those who wish to become teachers. We will focus on much higher and spiritual elements and aspects of yoga in addition to asan practice. The course will be delivered in English and upon successful completion of the course you shall be awarded a 200 hours of Teacher Training SIVA OM School of Yoga Certificate (registered with the Govt. Of India)

*Important Note: The information given below Is A Road Map Towards The Yoga Tree As Per Ancient Vedic And Yogic Siddhanta In Brief and is also the course structure recommended by the Government Of India. A Detailed And Elaborate Understanding Is Provided During Teacher Training.

Yoga works on the level of one's body, mind, and soul. This has given rise to four broad classifications of Yoga: Karma Yoga where we utilise the body; Jnāna Yoga where we utilise the mind; Bhakti Yoga where we utilise the emotion and Raja Yoga where we utilize the energy. Each system of Yoga we practice falls within the gamut of one or more of these categories.
The four schools of Yoga (Jnana Yoga, Bhakti Yoga, Karma Yoga and Raja Yoga)

    Raja Yoga 

    • Concepts and principles of Patanjali Yoga Sutras.
    • Concepts and principles of Hatha Yoga.
    • Concepts and principles of Gheranda Samhita. 

    Bhakti Yoga 

    • Navavidha Bhakti. 
    • Qualities of a bhakt.
    • The pronunciation, chanting, knowledge, benefits of Sanskrit mantra, hymns, bhajans.
    • Satsang and the uplifting meaning of the chants helping to thin the activities of the mind.
    • Mantra chanting, and their effect on the nadi and the chakras.
    • Demonstrated ability to create a bhakti bhav during the chanting and singing.
    • In depth reading of the Shrimad Bhagavad Gita.
    • In depth reading of Bhakti Yoga by Swami Vivekananda. 

    Karma Yoga

    • The concept of karma Yoga.
    • Prerequisites for a sthita prajna.
    • Sthitaprajna lakshana.
    • The law of karma.
    • In depth reading of Karma Yoga by Swami Vivekanada. 

       

    Jnana Yoga
    Four stages of Jnana 

    • Nityānitya vastu viveka (नित्यानित्य वस्तु विवेकम्) 
    • Ihāmutrārtha phala bhoga virāga (इहाऽमुत्रार्थ फल भोगविरागम्)
    • Satsangat 
    • Mumuksutva (मुमुक्षुत्वम्). 

       

      In addition to the above mentioned curriculum there will also be focus upon 

    • Detailed history and origins of yoga.
    • Conducting a Puja (sacred purification ceremonies).
    • The concepts of ida, pingla and the sushumna the central channel of energy running along the spine.
    • Seven major chakras, and its correlation to states of consciousness.
    • Creating a yoga aasan sequence.
    • Yoga Nidra.

       

       


      Yoga professor:
      The course is taught by Yoga Guru Siddhartha Shiv Khanna from India (Founder of the SIVA OM yoga School).

      Upcoming Teacher Training Dates 2019 - 2020:

      1. 16th February 2019 -  21st April 2019
        The course duration is approximaely 12-14 weeks. Its a Non Residential Programme where studies and letures are conducted over the weekends from 11:00-19:00 every saturday and sunday. 
      2. 14th September 2019 -  23rd December 2019

      The ancient birth place of democracy with deep rooted mythology adds to the charm of traditional yoga training. This teacher training can be conveniently done over a period of 3 months just by attending weekend classes. At the end you will get authentic training through traditional methodolgy by the first and only Indian teacher of Yoga who lives in Greece.
