From this revered holy site, Gangotri, one of the Char Dhams in Hindu tradition, the sacred River Ganga begins its journey, carrying blessings to millions in the plains below.

The Ram Temple and Its Heritage

Amid this divine landscape, the ashram also boasts a majestic Ram Temple, standing proudly beside the Amrit Ghat in the Kankhu region, emanating a tranquil aura of serenity and spirituality. The temple was established four generations ago by Ram Sewak Das Ji Maharaj, the seat of the Mahant was handed over to Rama Balak Das Ji Maharaj, succeeded by Mahatma Ganga Das Fal Ahari Maharaj, and presently led by Mahant Ram Krishan Das ji Maharaj, who is dedicated to Bhagwan Ram.

Among the chief features of our ashram are two naturally occurring caves. Local lore has it that one of these caves was occupied by Dev Rishi Narad, the Son of Bhagwan Brahma, during his meditative practices. The other cave is renowned for being a site where several yogis have achieved siddhis. Places like these are rare to find and can help you achieve yogic realizations when practicing there.
